Isaac Ford
3rd Degree Black Belt, Certified Trainer
Isaac has been training since he was 4 years old. Now as an adult, he joins the staff at ATA Canada as a lead instructor. Mr. Ford is currently completing his national instructor certification in Taekwondo. He is passionate about seeing every student improve to the best of their ability in a fun but disciplined environment. When he is not on the mats doing Taekwondo, Krav Maga or BJJ, Isaac enjoys playing and watching football and basketball.
Theresa Faitakis
3rd Degree Black Belt, Certified Trainer
Ms. Theresa has been training since she was a young girl. Now as one of the highest ranked black belts in the school her focus is on helping empower other students, especially the girls. Her speciality is forms and nunchucks and sets an excellent example with her fitness and technique.
Vinz Balala
2nd Degree Black Belt, Instructor Trainee
Steve Dalalana
2nd Degree Black Belt, Krav Maga Instructor, BJJ Coach
Dr. Steve is one of the long time black belt instructors at ATA Martial Arts. He holds several teaching certifications including a Level 3 Krav Maga Instructor, and a purple belt in BJJ. Steve is a proud husband and father and in his spare time enjoys hiking and rock climbing.
Jamond Anderson
4th Degree Black Belt, Certified Trainer, Weapons Instructor
Jamie is a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo, and also trains in the Jiu-jitsu program. A martial artist since 2008, Jamie is passionate about weapons training. When he isn’t training, Jamie spends his spare time playing piano, developing Indie games, and pursing his personal growth and development.
Chief Master Kevin Ford
8th Degree Black Belt, BJJ Black Belt, Krav Maga Instructor
School Owner/Master Instructor
Kevin is a lifelong martial artist. He started studying as a teenager, and began teaching in his first club after earning his black belt and graduating university in 1992. In addition to instructing martial arts, he was also a longtime competitor, finishing with several national and international titles. Master Ford has trained students from white belts to world champions, has taught seminars, done demonstrations, refereed tournaments, and judged testings all over Canada, the United States, Mexico, and even Jamaica! Chief Master Ford has produced several masters, dozens of instructors, and multiple locations across Canada and the United States. He is currently the Regional Director of Instructor Certification for Alberta, and was inducted as a Chief Master Instructor at World Championships in 2023. Master Ford is also a BJJ Black Belt Professor. and a Certified Level 5 Krav Maga Instructor. Kevin enjoys painting, board games, NFL football, camping with his family, and is an award winning poet.
